[Press “Join Us” for the full list of recognised membership qualification] Membership is currently free - just an initial administration fee of £40 is payable.
Senior members of the industry will be considered for membership by the Board, on the basis of prior learning and/or experience.
Fellow and Honorary grades are by invitation from the Board and reserved for those Members who have served the Institute in an exemplary way.
A recognised qualification helps the development of a Members career by certificating their achievements and signifying a high standard of commitment to integrity and professional standards
To obtain the most value and satisfaction from membership, a member must be prepared to make his or her own contribution, however small, to the effort of raising standards in Builders’ Merchanting, which is the prime aim of the Institute.
